    Hi

We are implementing a new web-platform, which means that we will be getting a new website. I would like to make a transition that means that our Shopping ads will be down as little as possible. So far I’m at bit confused about how to handle this, because there is some complexity in the change of platform.

What we are doing with this implementation:

    – Getting a new website

    – Chancing the ID’s on the products in our feed

    – The website is online now with a new.domain.com

What I have done for now:

    – Got a new feed with the new ID’s

    – Created a new Merchant Center account and added the feed

    My problems is:

    – I need to claim the new website. I can do that with new.domain.com, but what do I do when the domains chances to domain.com? Will the website not me “unclaimed” when the URL’s chances, when the new website launches.

    – I need to copy my current campaigns and change the Merchant Center ID’s on the campaigns. Correct?

You should claim the website under the new domain and not the temp domain ([new.domain.com](https://new.domain.com)). You do need to connect your new Google Merchant Center to your Google Ads account, that way Google can grab your new feed. Your web team should soft launch the new website for a week… so you can copy everything over and get things setup before launching the new campaign. There is some stuff you can not do until the new site is live.
