Massive Gap Between Impressions & Reach (FB Ads)

Posted by seohelper on May 13, 2020 at 7:25 am

Hey guys, please see this screenshot: [https://imgur.com/a/OqTHU8v](https://imgur.com/a/OqTHU8v)

As you can see, there is a giant discrepancy between impressions and reach. The research I’ve done tells me that it’s because my ads are not being seen. I saw similar results last week and so I worked very hard to make better videos, copy, revamping the creative side.

What’s going on? What can I do?

It’s normal. The frequency ( how many yimes you serve an Ad to an unique user ) is higher than 1. Always.

Therefore, on average your Ads are going to be seen more than one time per user.

Bonus: The retargeting campaigns usually have a high frequency in comparision of other prodpection campaigns.

PS: Maybe this fits better on r/facebookads

Impressions = The number of times your ad was delivered

Reach= The number of users your ad was delivered to

Impressions/Reach = Frequency = how often one user saw your ad on average

A high frequency likely means that your audience is too small. Your frequency for the selected time period was 3, which is not dramatic, but not ideal either, depending on your advertising goals.
