Massive drop in backlinks on Google Search Console

I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Just because a link doesn’t show up in GSC does not mean Google is not taking that link into account. GSC has always shown only a small fraction of the live links Google is aware of and counting. It’s always been that way.

Same shit with one of the sites I am working on. The links are gone because Google deindexed most of the pages where the links were. And I am not talking about some shitty links and sites…

Same here, not toxic backlinks, all backlinks are out, more than 80%. So this must be a temporary bug. I first saw this about one week ago in a secondary site, but now I have this in my main site.

I’m also guessing its a glitch. I’m currently doing SEO for an auto repair shop. We had links from relevant sites and its completely empty now. Even my internal links are gone. I’m assuming they will come back.

Same here. We actually only have one easy directory link, one link from a broken site and Web 2.0 after getting to 100+ backlinks and we got even more high quality links. I think it maybe an issue with their system or their doing something.
Cause it makes no sense as we had some good links and they left us our old links when we started that are low quality. All the sources for my other links are still indexed

They should pop back up. It’s happened before.

As a small business owner with a new website this sound great to me. I can compete with the other local companies that have bought thousands of backlinks.
