I have redirected a domain recently and I have got very decent results.

But my story is a little different.

I had this (old) domain for 3 years. It had basic level content (20 pages). I used to believe I will update this site once I have spare time.

It kept on getting impressions for 3 years until March 2024.

Unfortuntaly, the domain got a hit by March update.

I started working on it. Completely changed the content. But didn't change the URLs of those 20 pages.

    Nothing happened.

    No impressions.

I even built backlinks but nothing worked.

Some folks suggested to change the domain to see if issue is with the domain.

I removed the site from Google.

I change the domain name without changing anything else.

The domain was brand new. No profile earlier.

And started getting tons of impressions within 24 hours.

Even some rankings were on position 9 to 13 that was quite surprising for a brand new domain especially on an affiliate site.

So if you can compromise on your domain, you must change.

I guessed this would have happened. the domains mjust have been marked by the spam quality review teams as spam and irrecoverable. As long as you can avoid ticking them off again

i was growing for three years. between sep and mar I lost all but ONE keyword.

in May I moved to a new domain.

I 301d the clapped domain to the new one.

I got as high as 1000 or so keywords and it is now about 650. my traffic is not great, it’s volatile, but I have keywords on page 2 so there’s hope
