Manual CPC isn’t a bad option for branded search?

Posted by Adagio-Annual on August 8, 2024 at 3:00 am

I find in many test across clients that manual CPC or dare I say even max clicks for brand search only. Is almost always an easy way to reduce brand cpcs . Thoughts ?

I use Max CPC for brand keywords – I’ve tested max clicks and other smart bidding like tCPA. google inflates CPCs and costs are far higher than using Max CPC.

Why not use target impression share @ 90-95%? with a CPC ceiling, that will cover most branded click activity at really low clicks as well? vs regular CPCs at least you know you are covering the market. Check search impression share and adjust accordingly.
