    Lowering CPC

Posted by Travel-People123 on June 21, 2024 at 1:19 pm

I am really wondering an efficient way to lower my CPC in a search campaign. Could it be that the market i am in is bidding really high for each keyword and that i should expect a Average CPC at $2.44? I am in the luggage online luggage business.

CPCs could be high as everyone is traveling again,… so brands want to make up for lack of travel during COVID. CPCs will change from day to day and week to week. Focus on the long term and see how your CPA and ROAS shake out.

in most cases CPC lowering is not the issue

with conversion based campaign your CPC will increase when conversion is more likely

reducing bid per click may also reduce your traffic quality

in general I dont advice you to rely on CPC or even CPL as KPI, you ROAS is the most important thing

you can have expensive clicks and high CR, or for example low CR and cheap clicks, both strategies can work in qualitative or quantitative way

Check on Google KWP to see what the average bid is for your keywords. I agree with Fathom that with travel could be spiking CPC’s a bit but if you use the planner you can see the increase and decrease of demand and based on that you can assume that CPC’s begin to spike in the higher months as more advertisers enter the auction.
