Looking to change careers into Social Media Management
Hi, I’m wanting to make a career change from ESL teaching to a remote job social media job. I’m looking for a full-time position but also open to contract work. I have a bachelor’s in English and a master’s in Art Management. I learned about digital marketing and social media in school, and I’ve done a little bit of it on my own with a blog that I have. I’ve been having trouble getting responses and offers by applying online so if anyone has advice as to how to get a remote job in this field without specific experience, please let me know! I know I have the skills that could translate easily in to this sort of job. I’m just hoping someone will give me a chance!

Im gonna ask you a couple of questions which I would ask an interviewee for a social media job.
1) what brand or company do you feel really nails Social Media Marketing across channels?
2) what in your opinion are key KPIs to measure the success of a campaign?
3) what general advice would you give a brand that wants to improve their social media game? -
You have no experience and your education is very limited.
The only way to be successful here is to learn as much as you can and leverage your existing relationships – and frankly it’s the relationships that matter most.
It’ll take you a few years to get on to the right track so get started now with an inbetween job where you can leverage your existing teaching/language skills while dabbling in marketing
