  • Linkedin Profile Restricted!

My LinkedIn profile was restricted today because I used unfortunately a non-authentic profile picture . Now, LinkedIn is requesting me to upload identification proof with a picture (which is not available). I also manage a LinkedIn page that has great followers using this profile and haven't granted access to others, which means I can't manage it through another account. What steps should I take now?

I’d suggest reaching out to LinkedIn support ASAP. Explain your situation, especially about the page you manage. Maybe they’ll accept alternative ID or make an exception. Meanwhile, don’t panic – these things often get sorted out….

Larger question is why did you use a fake profile ? It’s come up on some KYC process . Now needs to be sorted .

Which country does not have ID proof without a pic on it to verify ?
Unless you are not willing to ?

If that’s not possible, contact LinkedIn support explaining your situation, emphasizing the importance of managing the page. They might have alternative verification methods. Also, see if you can get help from LinkedIn’s customer support on Twitter or other social media. Good luck!

Admit the mistake and provide the genuine identity. Hopefully, they will return it back.
