Can anyone here tell me the most practical and free/highly affordable ways of implementing earned media for your business?

I am specifically talking about earning quality backlinks.

We all know about HARO and it’s been quite the rage lately. For that reason, it’s pretty oversaturated and a lot of unscrupulous SEOs are exploiting it by using non-experts give the answers.

Apart from HARO, that also includes a paid subscription, can you please tell me how to utilize other platforms like Reddit, Quora, and even content syndication platforms to earn quality backlinks for free?

Are there other ways too? Please elucidate everything.

    Explain the processes in detail.

Exclude link farms please. I’ve been conned some time back by those.

I am building a tool on HARO to filter matching expertise + hook reporters with good gpt prompts. If they respond back, I answer manually afterward. So I don’t waste time getting ghosted.
I use it for myself only but maybe I will commercialize it if there is a demand.

One technique thats worked well for me is approaching all of my affiliate partners and asking for a backlink from their blog. Almost all of them said yes.

The best way to earn links IMO is to create content that targets long tail keywords. I’ve seen journalists and writers link to content only because it was one of the few reliable resources on the topic.

You can also consider PR and guest blogging, but these strategies require major upfront investment. If you’re looking for an approach outside of HARO, I recommend taking a social selling approach. It’s certainly no easy task, but if you are offering genuinely helpful ideas you won’t come across spammy. Just do research on your prospects before you reach out. So you know you’re not wasting your time.

Over time, if you’re organized, you’ll grow your relationships and start earning links without any effort.

I’m not sure there is a fast/cheap approach. You can certainly try inexpensive paid links/sponsored posts, but it’s likely not going to have the same impact that a highly authoritative reference would in a top industry publication.

what DR has your site? You can earn free links in doing ABC link exchange ( not direct as google might find fishy). Hit me up if you’d like to collaborate.

There are 4 ways to get backlinks:

Wait while people find your site and like the content so much they link to you, and this doesn’t work if you don’t rank for anything

Buy backlinks from vendors. 99% of them are scammers

Do guest posting or link outreach. This can work, but it’s inefficient and possibly dangerous

Educate yourself on how they work and build your own portfolio of authoritative websites to use. This takes longer, costs more in the short term, but is much more effective and safer
