Leave Paid Search and go into Publisher Side Account Management?
So I’ve been doing Paid Search agency side for 6-7 years and although I’ve enjoyed my time, I can’t help but feel a bit burnt out now. I think I’m done with agency side and although going in house has been appealing, I don’t know if I want to keep doing the same thing still. Has anyone in my position ever transitioned to an account manager role on the publisher side? Going in house publisher side has always been appealing given the big names and stock options tied to it, but what is the end game for account manager? Do AMs still make good money and career progression compared to staying specialized in SEM or digital marketing?
