Lead form extension required for PMax campaigns with “Lead” goal?
I’m creating my first Performance Max campaign and I’m getting an alert saying:
>Because you selected leads as a campaign goal, you should add a lead form extension to use with your ads.
It won’t let me start the campaign without adding a lead form extension which doesn’t make any sense as I have conversion tracking set up on my landing pages.
Is there a workaround to keep the lead goal without using the Google lead from extension? Is this just a PMax thing? If I can’t adjust it, should I just change the campaign goal to page views?

It’s just Google pitching you on a feature you don’t need. Just ignore it, you shouldn’t be prevented from proceeding.
