Launching campaigns in US for the 1st time

    Hello hello PPC mages !

I have been running Google Ads and Meta campaigns for 5 years in Europe. Mainly for e-commerce and lead gen in France

3 weeks ago I got this new client and launched campaigns and the results are a little less shitier than when I got the account

I have been managing successfully similar accounts in the same vertical, but they were only targeting FR and the new one is for the US
This website is a copy of their French website. And they started from scratch 2 months ago their SEO and social media..

So I was wondering if there could be significant differences between the US and European ? In terms of approch, targeting ? Like geo targeting, specific structure, attribution windows etc

    For contexte :
    – Budget : 1300$/month but they want to scale is profitable
    – business : e-commerce selling fragrance/waxes for homemade soap/candles
    – Structure : 1 set of campaigns for Fragrance and 1 set for Waxes
search in phrase match / Pmax / Pmax with only feed

In the search, I use generic keywords and keyword with the specific type of scent/material

For Pmax I use the scripts to see the search terms and the stats per networks, applied keywords exclusions lists

Last week I got like 50 add to cart and 4 sales. ROAS was 0.60, but I came the RoAS was 0.35

My client suggest me this afternoon to split the campaigns by North States vs South States
It seems weird to me, that's what pushes me to write this post

If you have any ideas I'm willing to try haha

France and Europe are not the USA. Totally different markets and how they market. Just look at ads run in the USA for what you sell… very different from Europe. Just taking something that works in Europe and duplicating it for the USA rarely works out. You need to tailor things to the USA market.
