    Language Targeting

Posted by Necessary_Phrase_240 on October 6, 2022 at 4:55 am

So, for example, if I wanted target the French people,
    • will my ads only be shown to people who perform a specific search on the [google.fr](https://google.fr/) domain?

    • And What if the user set by default set the French language for the google user interface and searching on google.com, will my ads be shown to them?
    • Does google change the domain of people by default if they select other languages or does the domain only rely on the user location?

Google doesn’t care if the person searches on .com or .FR for a search to show ads if they located in France. People who search on both domains would see the same ads.

As long as one of the Google signals is French…even if they type in English or Spanish or another language. Your ad can get shown to them. Language settings for a campaign covers a users browser history, device language setting and what they type into Google as signals.
