Landing page with form asking for personal information

Posted by seohelper on April 22, 2020 at 4:53 am

Basically we’re offering a personal protection plan on the behalf of an agency.

There are personal particulars required such as height, weight, residential address and date of birth

How should we do it? I am worried that the sensitive nature of the information could interfere with lead responsiveness

Oh, it definitely will. The less info you require the more likely someone will fill out your form. What I did is for my lead info fields is if any lead info that I would like but it is not crucial I would give them the option not to fill it out. I would put “optional” in the text box of anything that I could get later. If they fill it out great, but if they don’t it does not matter since I still get the lead.

Will there be a phone call involved in the process or is it entirely online?

I would stage it. Just get the contact info up front, and then send an email with a link to gather the rest of the details after they log into your site. This will appear more secure to the user, they are more likely to fill out the rest of the info.

And for those that don’t log in you can send them follow up emails.

What kind of sensitive data should you worry about and why you need to share them in public?
