    Keyword intent question

Posted by xxxglitterkid on May 14, 2024 at 9:06 pm

Previously, I would run phrase match terms such as “Kitchen Installation”, “Kitchen Renovation” etc

I’ve read about adding more intent to these keywords if I’m going to keep them on phrase by adding terms such as ‘near me’ ‘company’ ‘services’.

It’s not been too long of a test but so far it seems our CTR has increased drastically but conversions have either lower decreased or are flat. We have a very tight negative keyword list.

Would love to hear other experiences / input.

Give it some time for conversions to come in, these types of keywords in local services industries typically have very high CPC’s because there are multiple competitors near you probably bidding on the same KW. If you don’t see any conversions at a certain spending threshold, then your budget might be too low for these types of KW’s and your competitors could be banking on them rather than you.
