    I’ve identified fraud click gads, what can I do?

    Posted by rmsisme on November 10, 2023 at 1:16 am

    Hi,

    * 50 clicks, 47 are fraudulent (using the same pattern – hotjar, and same email).
    * What can I do ?

    Thanks

    Can report to Google but good luck as it will go into their black hole (and they won’t believe you (which is their default position on this) anyway. Odds of Google caring or doing anything are close to zero.

    Good luck with that. We have such an account (>90% fake clicks) bot clicked by competition. No display ads, strictly search. We sent numerous logs reports in 1 month to Google. Standard answer: all invalid clicks were caught. And we complained again, and somehow they refunded around 300 Euro, which is almost nothing.
    So, I don’t have a solution.
    I can not fill complaints to Google all day long.
    I guess we’ll give up that account.

    Submit it and ask for a refund. It may take months but if you provide appropriate documentation you will usually get all or at least part of a refund.

    No free ads here and not an affiliate, it’s just a good product. Try ClickCease. We use it on many of our accounts.

    10-15 years ago Google was more proactive and you would regularly see refunds for malicious clicks. You still see it now, but it typically requires reporting it first. Software makes this easier to manage and the cost is negligible considering the scalability and resource savings.
