I’ve been struggling for a While with no results. Is this a good new approach to FB ads?
I’ve been struggling with Facebook ads and feel rather than testing copy and images, I need to take a step back and reset with an actual plan. As a complete beginner I’ve been wasting money left right and centre by just making ads and running them in a illogical way (I’ve finally realised).
We’ve got a small range of products with a hero product which we’re more known for in our niche than the other items. I’m thinking of targeting this specifically. We do have a good base of sales but not enough Facebook let’s me create a Lookalike audience for it using the pixel, around 30 sales per month. This comes mainly from Instagram where we get around 700-800 visitors a month.
Can someone guide me on a strategy for FB ads or where to start out as a complete novice. I’ve been reading more about funnels and realised I’m targeting people, and they’ve never seen my brand in their life. Ofcourse they don’t buy instantly! It seems I need to nail the basics before getting into the details and such.
As of re evaluating right now, I’m thinking;
1. Run brand awareness ads to a broad group of people with interests in my niche. Test several audiences and get traffic and clicks to my website or landing page (see below). I plan on improving my homepage to make it clear what we do, any how our product can help.
2. Retarget these website viewers with an offer now that they’ve been to the website and know a little more about the brand.
One thing I’m struggling with is a landing page. I’ve previously been directing people to my product page but looking at it, it’s nothing spectacular. Do I need to create a designated new landing page, or is landing page a term for a product page or homepage that has genuine info and shows the value of your product off?
