  • Is X Worth Joining for a B2C Business?

Posted by Glum_Cauliflower1227 on August 22, 2024 at 9:36 pm

    Hi everyone,

I’m currently using other platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook for my B2C business. I’m considering joining X (formerly Twitter) but am unsure if it’s worth the effort for gaining traction in a B2C context. Has anyone had success with X for B2C, or is it more effective for B2B or personal branding? Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences.

    Thanks!

    In a word. No.

Pretty much everything on X is worse than the other platforms you’ve mentioned, and it’s gotten worse in the last few years.

The amount of shit posts that end up on your threads is bad, and it gets worse the more you interact and the bigger you get.

If you want to engage fans, there’s better ways (and you’re already doing them) but X can be a lot of time and effort for very little (or zero) in return.

    We pulled everything from X.

For B2C, check us out at Jabburr. We’re new but join early, start posting and get the followers while everyone who joins will see you.

B2B I’d go with Alignable or LinkedIn.

Hey! X can work for B2C, but it’s usually better for quick updates and customer support rather than direct sales. It shines when you engage with trends and conversations. If your audience is active there, it’s worth trying, but it might not be as strong as Instagram or TikTok for B2C.

I am in online reputation management, so my perspective could be different. For some clients, I advise them to avoid X because of the toxicity and lack of meaningful engagement. The bit are out of control there (FB is not far behind).
