Is organic growth possible for business pages?
Posted by EmmaKind on October 10, 2024 at 9:45 amI do SMM for a buisness and within a year, we don't see any significant growth organically. I posted hundreds of posts/videos/carousels across different channels (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Threads, etc) but nothing seems to work. The reach, views, engagement, and conversions are very low from social. Do you think it's still possible to grow a business page on socials? And if yes, then what strategies do you use that actually work?

GuestOctober 10, 2024 at 9:56 amYes, it is still possible.
While social media is always evolving there are some things that will stay relevant for success:
Consistency, Relevant content, Community Building, Engagement, Watchtime.
If you focus on these 5 things alone you´ll be succesful.

GuestOctober 10, 2024 at 10:21 amYes, Ive generated over 6 million organic views this year – focusing only on reels/short form videos. Posting 3 times a week (or more) on Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, YouTube and Snapchat Spotlight. Its about both quality and quantity at this point, and organic social is way harder now than ever before.
Its expensive to make it work, but for the businesses really believing in it its possible. I always emphasize the USE of the content. Use it in all platforms, use it in articles or blogs, us it in ads, use it on screens inside the shops and so on. Get the most you can out of each short form clip.

GuestOctober 10, 2024 at 11:19 amIt’s about 10x harder for a business than an individual, but still possible, especially if the content is witty.
People prefer to follow people vs brands at a ratio of approx 10 to 1. Look at the number of Elon Musk followers vs Tesla followers.
What type of product or service does the business provide?

GuestOctober 10, 2024 at 11:35 amOrganic growth is certainly possible on social media. But we understand its difficult its might be slow but need more than just consistent posting for the same.
There could be multiple reasons why you are not getting organic growth on your social media platform:
* Lack of clear strategy
* Unable to understand your target audience
* Lack of engagement strategy
* Bad quality contentHow to fix this?
* Refine your strategy which will target your audience, find the right platform where your audience are active on, Set clear goals for your strategy.
* Create storytelling content which provides the right information and solves your audience’s problem,
* Create an engagement strategy where you will interact with your target audience, other industry leaders from the business account and even checkout what your competitors are doing.These above tips could resolve the immediate issues and you should start getting more organic engagement and followers if you put the right efforts and consistency.

1. **Know Your Audience**: Understand their interests and tailor content accordingly.
2. **Quality Content**: Focus on high-quality, engaging posts rather than quantity.
3. **Engage**: Actively respond to comments and participate in discussions.
4. **Analyze Performance**: Use analytics to identify what works and when your audience is active.

6. **Collaborate**: Partner with influencers for broader reach.
7. **Use Ads**: Invest in targeted social media ads.
8. **Utilize Short-Form Content**: Use Stories, Reels, and TikTok videos for engagement.

GuestOctober 10, 2024 at 3:51 pmYes it is very possible. We’re seeing a shift thought from brand content and the way to break through is by creating founder and employee led content. People are tired of constantly being sold to by brands. People buy from humans they know, like and trust. If you’re missing that element, you can say goodbye to the possibility of growing a business page. People buy from people, not brands.

GuestOctober 10, 2024 at 4:20 pmA lot of growth for business on social media has to do with providing a value proposition for your audience. For instance, having an appliance repair business with an online presence can help potential clients find you, but doesn’t draw an audience. However, if you had a series of videos busting common appliance myths with a clear landing page for your business, then you might be able to draw and support a stable audience.
This isn’t going to work in every industry, but it did for a few appliance repair techs. If you can identify an unfulfilled need in an audience related to your business, then thats an opportunity to grow your reach.

GuestOctober 10, 2024 at 4:31 pmYep, it is definitely possible. You see business pages on Instagram that have good reach and engagement, right? So it’s all about specific strategies.
I can share my insights on Instagram, but I think they can be applied to other platforms as well. Your main task is to make sure that your content is promoted by the algorithms and reaches your target audience. To do this, you need to analyse your niche, similar profiles and their followers. There are even special tools like Snoopreport that automatically analyse users’ likes, followings and hashtags. All you have to do is add the accounts you are interested in to the tool, for example followers of similar pages. Once you see what kind of content and hashtags your target audience is interacting with, all you have to do is adapt similar content for your page.
So simply publishing quality content is not enough. You need to invest time or money in tools to study your market.

GuestOctober 10, 2024 at 7:22 pmIt tends to be more personality driven these days. Meaning you need someone in front of the camera that is engaging. I’d suggest you think about programming like a TV network would. Think about the kind of content you like to consume. It’s probably not stock imagery with generic captions. That doesn’t mean that you need to be the face or voice…but it could mean that you have to produce “show” concepts that coordinate talent.

GuestOctober 11, 2024 at 9:41 amOrganic growth is achievable, but it often requires a strategic approach.
Focusing on quality over quantity is key. Instead of pushing out hundreds of posts, zero in on creating high-quality, value-driven content that truly resonates with your target audience. Use storytelling to connect emotionally, and incorporate user-generated content to enhance credibility.
Don’t underestimate the power of community engagement; responding to comments and joining discussions builds relationships. Experiment with different formats, and analyze what resonates with your audience.
Stay persistent; organic growth takes time, but with the right approach, it’s entirely possible.
