is my website hit by an algorithm update?
Recently i just noticed serp changes on some of my keywords my website articles doesnt rank higher as it was, my traffic drops almost 70% its so frustrating i tried not to panic i dont think if its a penalty but now any new article i tried to publish its either on google last page or i dont see it i tried to improve my site speed and page experince, write quality content but it seems not working

If the drop happened while an algorithmic update was rolling out it is more likely that was the cause.
What matters is if the drop happened on your converting keywords. In my experience that’s where the biggest drops happen. From say position 10 to position 100 in a matter of days, without any website changes. When that happens I think it is a penalty.
