  Is it possible to set location bid adjustments in Performance Max?

  Hello.

  I saw some GoogleAds gurus like [Aaron Young](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKMwqbFpHYM) optimizing Pmax campaigns by location bid adjustments, but I can’t do it. I am receiving the error “This operation is not allowed for the given context.”

  Do you guys have a similar experience?

  I’m hoping I’m not confidently wrong but it’s not supported by PMax. It wasn’t supported either by Smart Shopping campaign as far as I remember.

  You can influence/encourage the campaign by bidding more on specific locations with the [Value rules](https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/10518330) option (campaign settings) where you increase the Value based on criteria you fill in.

  This encourages the machine to look for these extra profitable locations, but it’ll also skew the platform data you’ll see.
