    Is it only me, or google ads support is incompetent and can’t read with comprehension?

    Is it common or just my luck, that Google Ads support (when contacting about a virus on page), seems extremely incompetent, useless and appears to have not read messages sent?

    From my point of view – only affect the virus area in any other cases they are fine and solve problems quickly.

    Example:

    I ask where and when the problem occurs (e.g. entering from Google search, or from page to page, at what date or if the virus shows on specific user agent only and where it appears (directly in code, in js file, multimedia etc)

    Only answer is linked website when asked for more detailed info – they may send you originating website. When asking for details – they can only respodnd that “our tool shows” Even when presended data from search console, viurustotal and virus scanners that say “website is clean”.

    I’ve seen like 8 cases like this in last 2 years.

    And no, this help is not in english so no outsourcing to countries like india or so. Central europe.

    Say what you want about Google’s support but one conversation with a Facebook rep makes the Google reps look like fucking Einstein.

    I’m pretty sure when you call them, they’re just on a computer typing your issue into Google.

    Its pretty much the entry position for everyone @ google advertising. People stay for 6 months and only longer if they need a part time job…

    The google internal tool to find malware sucks , is old never shows correct results

    The information you are asking will never be provided to you as the agent could get in huge trouble if the case gets analyzed by quality.

    Your issue is with the process not the people and being angry at the person who is helping you will only result in a worse outcome for you!

    Google ads support sucks. Only way you get real assistance is if you have a rep – and usually only the higher tier reps.

    Facebook also sucks. Tried on two days to give different support reps the same error code and neither could have without referring to devs. How do they not have doucmentation around these exceptions?

    Lol. These days, I get yelled at by my boss for not reaching out to support for some of the issues that have occurred.

    I prefer facing a little tongue lashing to contacting support

    Google Support are some of the worst I have come across. They are completely unable to apply context to a matter or use common sense. They also give the most obvious ‘no shit Sherlock’ answers which aren’t at all helpful and anyone with half a brain would already have considered before contacting them. It’s infuriating.

    This is your problem. Don’t expect them to fix it for you.

    Hint: Googlebot and Adbot are 2 different things.
    Google ADS rep, wouldn’t know about googlebot since they get their data from the later.
