Is it okay to be pausing campaigns during the “bid learning strategy”? No other changes aside from just pausing the campaign.

I know you should try not to make any changes to the campaign during bid learning strategy but how about pausing a campaign during bid learning strategy? Will it harm the performance?

It probably means your using the wrong or unsure of your set up objective. Conversions have a longer bid strategy that max clicks. If your turning things off that soon, maybe your unsure of the objective, spend or time your willing to dedicate to the bid learning strategy. Always be sure of your goal before your throwing money behind it.

The calibration phase is for your benefit – so it just means the next time you reactivate it will set it back to learning.

Ideally keep it running so it knows what to do. Not the end of the world if you pause though.

Think of pausing like a reset button with automated bidding. When you restart it essentially forgot everything before the pause and now has to relearn the optimizations. So harm, no more than pausing in general would have.
