Is it legal to hire affiliates to DM potential customers on Instagram, Facebook, Etc.?
I have an idea to hire as many affiliates as possible to drive traffic to the sales funnel that promote my product and encourage prospects to book a call.
I want to know if there are any legal issues with this, as I wouldn’t be the one sending the messages. The affiliates would be.
This is a way I see to build my brand online as well. The more traffic that is driven to my page, the larger following I can amass.
Would I also risk getting my main account banned? The main account will be what the affiliates drive traffic to.
My main account will not be DMing anyone, the affiliates’ accounts will be the only ones direct messaging prospects. -

I don’t know what Meta would do, but anyone that sends me an unsolicited DM about a product or a business lead is getting a block.

It depends on where you live. In Germany it is illegal to send someone ads unprompted. It can also be considered spam.
Furthermore it´s highly invasive.

You’d basically blend in with all the other spam bots. I wouldn’t recommend unless they are simple intro call requests.
You won’t get banned though, just temporarily restricted from sending more DMs.

No one is going to reply to DMs. You’re gonna get your account banned for spamming people long before you get a response from someone looking to buy.

It depends on the region you are in and from where you are hiring affiliates.
In India, these are usually brand deals and influencers do it to promote the page/product.

You should make an intro post then have others share to other similar platforms. Let them click more details and then contact you. No need for spam of its genuine intentions.
