Is hitting your daily budget extremely fast, a good thing?

Posted by waterbottle012222 on October 3, 2022 at 6:11 pm

I’m running YouTube ads for a YouTube channel I have, and my budget is being hit extremely quick.

I’m starting with $5/day with 5 different ads. So really $25/day.

It hit the threshold and stopped performing and being shown within a matter of hours.

My goal for the campaign is to have impressions convert into YouTube channel subscribers – and later customers.

Is this a good thing that my budget is being maxed out quickly?

I have it set to 0.08 cents per video view, and it’s averaging 0.02.

What should I do to have the ad prolong for the entire day? Or should I leave it untouched until more data is collected?

Depends on the ROI. Generally for a new campaign hitting your budget early just means your budget is too low or you’re campaign doesn’t have the right goals. You’d have to measure the results to determine whether it’s a good or bad thing, ultimately.

Is it $5 a day for 5 campaigns or 1 campaign? The number of ads doesn’t make a difference unless they are in separate campaigns. But also, if you have the same exact targeting in 5 campaigns just with different ads, you’re better off grouping them all into 1 campaign so you’re not competing with yourself (or you could do a legit a/b experiment within google ads).

But yea, overall $5 a day isn’t a lot if you’re targeting pretty big audiences

With that budget, I would only target a single YouTube channel that is most likely going to generate subscriptions for your channel and decrease your bid.

You probably don’t have very good targeting relative to your spend and may be wasting the budget.

That means your budget is too small for your audience size. You can either increase your budget, Or tighten up your audience so it’s not as broad.

I would probably use the $25 daily budget to AB test the videos and determine which ones work best for your goals. Once you know which videos work best, put those in a single campaign and increase your budget until it last all day.
