  • Is Consent Mode the death of analytics?

I worry that Consent Mode will be the death of analytics. I suppose that few people will want to consent to have their traffic tracked. Do you agree or disagree?

Nah, it’s not the end of analytics. Sure, some folks might opt out, but many won’t bother. Plus, there are ways to gather useful data without personal info. Analytics will evolve, not die. We’ll just need to get creative with how we use the data we get.

Not entirely the death of it. But it will change things. Mostly more reliance on the platforms themselves to provide you with data. Google, meta, etc. which seems to be the goal. More ways to monetize what they do from businesses. Microsoft has kind of done it for years. Hiding the best of their information inside of dynamics.

My clients are UK fintech – we’ve been in “consent mode” since GDPR, it changes nothing except vanity metrics
