  Instagram promotion “% from promotion” stat

  When running a promotion you’ll see stats in the format:

  Visit Profile: 67
  56% from promotion.

  Does that mean that 56% of the people who were reached by the promotion visited my profile?

  Or does it mean that out of all the profile visits for the period, 56% came from the promotion?

  Also, is there any official source that explains the meaning of the promotion data?

  I would say the latter.

  What are your goals? Awareness? Engagement? Conversions/Sales? You are better off creating IG ads through FB Ads Manager and selecting IG placements, imo.

  56% of 67 visits came from promotion. Im pretty sure.
