So with any social media the time you post can affect a lot. But I’m a bit confused about how timezones can affect this. Most of my engagement was in the United States from when I was living there and that’s where I want to continue to build a following. However, I’m no longer based there. So I have two questions, the first I’m wondering if it’s possible to post at weird times for my current timezone but the appropriate one for the United States, or if that’s just going to hinder engagement overall.

And two, in the Instagram insights it shows the times your followers are most active, I’m assuming that this is based on my timezone? For example if it says my followers are most active at 10am does this mean 10am for them no matter where they are? Or does it mean 10 am based on my timezone. Like if it’s actually 2am for them will show in my insights as 10am my time…. ? Thank you!

Instagram previews best time analytics based on where account is based. First you have to check that when you moved did Instagram changed the account location or not.

If it isn’t changed, your best posting time is still according to US time zone. You can go to your settings to find about your accounts location.

If it isn’t changed you might have to check your login activity in settings & confirm your recent logins from the new location.
