  • IG Subscription worth it as a creator??

    Hello,
I wanted to ask if anyone have any experience offering IG subscription on their page. I have a following of 30k on ig and I have recently (1 month ago) started to offer a sub option for my followers (I do music/bass guitar related content) . So far I haven’t gotten anyone yet, but I also wanted to know if anyone notice their engagement drop after starting to offer the subscription. It could be just be a coincidence, but I feel my video reach lowered the last 3-4 weeks as well as I am growing much slower ( used to get 500 followers a day, now barely 100)

Let me know what anyone thinks about it. And please let me know if maybe just removing the Subscription would be best since I’m not really getting anyone there.

    Thank you!

It’s hard to tell what could be the reason as there’s different factors involved but it seems like you’ve been having a spike and now it’s more steady. How about you test out having a link in bio that let’s creators tip you instead of the membership right away there’s this websiteI stumbled upon called tribl.app when I was searching for lower fees as I also have a small follower base and don’t get much yet, didn’t want the absurd fees.

IMO asides from sponsored content inside your content I don’t think it’s worth it to try and monetize Instagram/TikTok. I’d create a patron and make content for it instead if your fans ask for a way to support you. Or one of the tip websites. Add the link in your bio.
