    If competitor showing on brand terms, turn on branded campaignm, else off

    Is this possible on Google/Bing ads?

    Would be great if there’s a 3rd party tool that monitors brand term SERPs for top ads, if present then branded campaign activates for 1week or so, then back off.

    Pretty crude but just want a way to dynamically cut the spend without completely giving away the space to a competitor.

    I’ve always run branded campaigns as a best practice to ensure top spot compared to competitors. These campaigns are typically low cost and bring in a lot of conversions. I’d be wary to have something that turns on and off as that can spike costs due to learning periods. If it’s a budgeting concern, maybe only run the brand campaign when you either 1) have mass media running and/or 2) it’s a highly seasonal time for your product/industry.
