  • Howcome your posts could get less and less likes?

Posted by seohelper on May 1, 2020 at 3:48 am

I’ve noticed that as I started to actively post more since March, my likes just keep dipping. I’ve posted pretty consistently, like almost every week at least once. And I personally feel that the quality of my photos have improved. But, my newest post flopped yesterday compared to previous ones. Probably my lowest yet. I was wondering, what causes people to not like your posts? Thank you!

Even when the photo quality goes up, if the base of followers (especially when it’s smaller) see the same STYLE of image, then after seeing the tenth one in that style becomes less attractive. It’s like the Porsche 911 (the car), to the average person we see the ‘same’ car since it’s inception. Even though the technology has advanced and it’s fundamentally different.

    Are you depending on hashtags?

I’m feeling you there is no real algorithm to Instagram system I have gained 300 followers organically. And when I use the term organically it means that you have not paid for any of your followers and you rely solely on # which I have successfully done so it can be done organically you just have to get the Right audience it’s all about your settings in the beginning when you make your profile public and become a Creator or public figure and get the option to view your insights and change those settings. With my personal account I would get a bunch of followers and then they would eventually unfollow me after I followed them I have fortunately learned my lesson on that so I have went organic. Lol. It can be done I have done it so don’t give up you just have to know your audience and know yourself be confident and consistent on what you post

    > almost every week at least once

Not nearly enough. I’ve had a remote training session with IG’s Senior Managers this week, they recommend 1 Post + 5 Stories day in, day out.

If you’re posting once a week, the algorithms are not being alerted to your content frequently enough and for all intents and purposes your account is deemed as idle.

3 posts per day, 1 story is what you should follow.

If you are not focusing on the trending topics, you aren’t going to get likes. Try posting some funny posts such as memes once in a week. I am sure that will work.
