How would you optimize PMax listing groups

Posted by Consistent-Tiger-660 on October 30, 2022 at 12:52 pm

I have several pmax campaigns running (multiple countries/currencies) with tROAS setup…

Inside each, I have 4-5 asset groups, but it’s clear that specific product/asset group combinations are generating higher ROAS.

Should I just shut off the underperforming products and hope the impressions go towards higher performing products?

    And at what point?

I’ve been thinking about viewing the last 30 days and filtering any products >15k impressions AND >$100 spend … and just disabling any that are under 1.5 conv value/cost …

Please poke holes in this and any alternative suggestions would be welcome…

You should be looking at clicks and spend, not impressions. Pick whatever your threshold is and then you can move those SKUs into another campaign or turn them off. Another campaign could be standard shopping. How much you spend on a SKU relates to the product price… I’m willing to spend a lot more for a $1,000 SKU vs a $100 SKU before I turn it off for not converting. I also take into account seasonality or other factors that could cause it to not convert.
