How to translate top of page bid to shopping ads bid?

Posted by Dismal_Classic_3815 on June 22, 2024 at 4:41 am

I’m struggling here with how to translate the top of page bid in keyword planner to bids for my shopping ads. Any guidance?

Are the low range top of page bids a good marker? Could I potentially bid lower than this without much effect?

Shopping ads always appear at the top when they’re shown. So top of page sounds like an irrelevant metric for shopping.

Been a few years since I ran shopping so my knowledge might already be woefully out of date. Never saw shopping ads below an unpaid SEO listing so definitely at top of page

Top of page bids can be helpful if you want to have a chance at being at the front/top of the shopping ads carousel. Shopping ads do appear differently than search ads….since shopping ads are more 1st position to whatever the last slot is on the carousel. You can bid lower and see how many impressions that gets you.
