How to stop seeing the ads to users who are not taking action!

Posted by WorkJack on April 5, 2023 at 7:59 am

So we are running display ads [ fb and Instagram] for 4-6 months now, and i have just clicked on an ad for just once, how can I stop showing them to anyone who has not clicked in last say 1-2 months. Our target audience is cybersecurity career starters.

Campaign A: reach campaign with a Frequency cap. Cap it to X impressions in Y days.

Campaign B: campaign retargeting anyone that interacted with the ads in campaign A, set to an audience length of 30-60 days.

Create a list of users who clicked the ad 30-60 days ago, then exclude them from the campaign. Then if you’d like, make a new campaign just for users who clicked the ad in the last 30-60 days.

    1. Decrease your daily budget to decrease frequency
    2. Create audience who went to your website in last 30-60 days. Insert this audience in audience category…

Remember to have awareness campaign to get website visitors in the first place.
