How much Google thinks they will make by showing your ads. So… bid * performance metrics

The QS side of the adrank equation is 100% on the back end / feed.

Bid/budget/competition is the other side of the adrank equation.

    – Relevant product to the search performed.
    – Well-populated, accurate and detailed Google Merchant Center feed.
    – Reviews, and good ones.
    – Become a Google Trusted Store

The two most important factors are you product title x your bids. Your product title are your “keywords” for your shopping ads.

Though shopping is the opposite of search ads, bidding high is not always the best. Beyond those two, your product description and product image matter as Google uses those to determine what you should rank for as well. This means make sure your negative keyword list is strong.

I just launched a Udemy [Google Shopping Course](https://www.udemy.com/course/google-shopping-course) that covers a lot of what you want to know in 2 hours. Helps anyone new person get shopping up and running and do it right. A good part of the course is on Google Merchant Center… since that is the heart and soul of shopping campaigns.

Product prices, bids, product titles and feed quality, where product prices are most important. Having a cheaper price for the same sku other advertisers use will have the biggest impact, then bids, etc
