How to promote niche microsite
I made a one-page website (as a hobby) for my friends and I to find the best travel destination in North America for maximizing the number of sports events we could attend within our vacations.
I put a lot of effort into it and find it sad that it has basically no visitors except for my group of friends. I don’t sell anything, no ads, etc. Just a simple but useful website.
I know there is a "market", I posted in a few sports subreddits a few years ago and there was quite a lot of interest. Traffic peaked for like 24 hours and then that was it.
Any idea how could I spread the word to more people?

1 page website wont rank organically in search results if you have stronger competition, especially in the travel niche, which is highly competitive.
If you want quick results, then paid ads is the way to go, but it wont make sense if you can’t monetize this audience.
If you’re aiming for organic growth, figure out where your audience is, whether it’s X, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, or other platforms and leverage them.
