  • How to grow Facebook?

Posted by soy_marta on November 7, 2023 at 9:20 pm

Hi, I’m managing social media for a small news outlet.

Instagram is doing really well. I’ve mostly figured out what works for us and followers/reach/engagement have started to grow way faster.

However, I’m struggling to grow our Facebook page. It has improved somewhat and I know some of it is just because of the platform itself, but I would appreciate any tips or resources to do better there.

    Thank you!

You should post your content every day to get lots of followers for your Facebook page.

Are you posting the same content on FB and IG? Try posting more long-form videos on FB

Try doing a local business and local org analysis – see if there’s any nonprofits, businesses, chamber of commerce and start interacting with their content. Start sharing their content and tagging them in news stories you are posting. Utilize the news feed and engage with other entities. this will take some brainstorming and strategy around what partnerships and what brands you want be be associated with.

Join Facebook groups in your niche and share your posts there. My IG posts on Facebook get very little reactions and reach compared to when I share my posts in groups or post only to Facebook

Respond to comments, messages, and feedback from your followers. Encourage discussions, ask questions, and create a sense of community. Engaging with your audience shows that you value their input and can help build loyalty.

    I would suggest:

    -Post consistently with varied content.

    -Engage with followers actively.

-Use Facebook Live for news updates and interviews.

-Create and participate in relevant Facebook groups.

-Utilize targeted Facebook ads for broader reach.

-Analyze Insights to refine your strategy.

-Collaborate with other outlets and influencers.

-Use Facebook Stories for behind-the-scenes moments.

-Stay updated with the latest Facebook trends.

    For Facebook:

    1. Mix up content (news, stories).

    2. Post consistently.

    3. Engage with your audience.

    4. Try targeted ads.

    5. Use Insights to adjust.
Keep at it, and Facebook’s growth will come!

join local groups, some towns have local “scanner” type groups where they share news from what the hear on their scanners. might be a good option to look into! have your friends invite people to the page to boost its traction also

Have you tried experimenting with different types of content? Videos, live streams, and interactive posts tend to grab attention on Facebook.

Facebook users dig a more personal, community-driven narrative. So, hit them with the stories behind the news, make it feel like insider info.

You’ve got Groups where discussions can get real and personal, which is pure gold for engagement.

And about content crafting? Boost App Social has been a low-key genius for me. It gets the platform’s pulse and helps tailor content that just clicks.

I’ve had a lot of success with reels! It hasn’t been astronomical growth but I started posting reels and it does really help with followers!
