How often do you zoom in?
In every video I see that creators are zooming in for a short period of time, like changing the scale to 110 from 100 for a few seconds and then change it back to 100. Then there is also the slow zooming over a few seconds. I don’t understand the system behind this. Is there a rule of thumb how often you should do these things? Or are creators just doing it randomly?

This is sometimes done to make transitions/cuts smoother and less noticeable. Some use it to emphasize their reactions which can be annoying if done too many times.

Maybe you can try something different?

It’s a way to make a scene that would normally be less visually engaging look more exciting because the pixels on the screen are always moving *just* a little bit while highlighting the focus the video as well

It’s a way to maintain attention, and thus feed the algorithms what they want.
The initial idea of doing so is to visually represent “focus on this bit”, even when it’s a monologue.
