  • How much to charge per post to manage instagram account?

Posted by yes_bears_27 on July 22, 2023 at 4:17 am

I’ve been given the opportunity to help manage someone’s social media account for their business that they have and I’ve been trying to figure out pricing. Honestly I have very little experience managing someone’s instagram so I will not charge much but I’m not sure how to quote them as a beginner. I’m thinking I should charge per post? I’ve been reading online that a rule of thumb is $10 per post for every 1k followers? But given that I’m a mere beginner I should charge less than that right? I have been taking marketing courses online though to further educate myself but haven’t really applied it to anything yet but I do have some ideas on how I can manage this instagram well and grow her following.

    Please give suggestions below!!

    Where have you read this?

and what do you mean by “manage”?

I’d normally suggest you charge for time.

Figure out what the expectation is, for example: will you make pictures? edit videos? create stuff? create a strategy or “content calendar”? reply to DMs? etc…

How long will it take you to do agreed upon tasks per week?

Once you figure that out, decide what hourly pay would make sense.

    Per Post ist mad.

Settle on a certain amount of posts per month.

Figure out how much time you need to prepare (like do you need to do video editing for reels?), schedule, monitor and analyze these posts, add how much time you would spend on reporting and give a fixed monthly rate for that.

No one is going to pay you 10$ per post. More like 1$ per post.
