  • How much should we spend on a good relevant backlink?

Posted by Ahow35 on August 29, 2023 at 12:11 pm

I am in the process of looking into relevant engineering and manufacturing news sites with the intention of running sponsored content/press releases.

I have been quoted £125 for a DR74 website and £1050 for a DR76 website, and it has made me think what is a target price I should aim to pay?

We only want to focus our backlinking efforts on relevant websites, even if there is a small cost.

I feel like a broken record at this point, but do NOT pay for backlinks.

Inevitably the big G will catch on, and you will have ultimately wasted your time and money.

Instead, spend that money on content.

$1,000 can go a LONG way in content production and promotion, and will continue to pay off if done right for a long time.

Press release sites are helpful to increase branding and traffic because most of PR sites will use nofollow for links. According to me price is a bit high for sponsor press release listing.

RhinoRank works. Do it very slowly. Spread amongst a lot of sites.

Or if you can find automotive sites on their own email them.

two things to bear in mind: you’re not really interested in press relations: in this case, the price is much more interesting and it’s better to use average sites. The price depends on your market: in niche markets, it can be more expensive, but overall, between €150 and €500, you’re on the right link.
To find out if a site is worth it :
Is it positioned on thematic keywords?
Does it have a lot of positioned pages?
Be sure to look at where articles go once they leave the pagination (do they become orphaned?).
Of course, negotiate a do-follow link, but make sure it’s contractual for LIFE. (It’s up to you to create a file to check your urls from time to time).
For articles in large media, you need to know that an article on its own is generally worthless, why? because they have too many URLs. Ideally, for a large article, it’s better to accompany it with 5/6 articles pointing to it.
