  • How much do y’all charge?

Posted by Gr8fulBanana on October 17, 2023 at 3:56 pm

For making 2-3 posts a week on Instagram/Twitter/Facebook posts for a growing business?

    What factors into your pricing?

Kinda got thrown into this position and no financial compensation has been discussed yet and I want to know how much to fairly charge.

Big thank you in advance to anyone who takes time to answer!!

Anyone who gives you a number here is not doing you any favors.

Get to research because you need to know your base, what your goals are, and be honest with how long production will take.

Write a solid contract with EVERYTHING you will be expected to do. Small business is notorious for “add-ons” they remember discussing after the fact.

Remember that if you do your job correctly, it will most likely cause more work? If you are in charge of mod write in spiff for added load!

This question comes up regularly. Mods should create a sticky thread.
The answer is it is so dependant on many factors.

    – what is your experience?
    – do you have awards under your name?
    – what does the work entail? (Just content management? Creating the asset as well? Do you have to spend hours with the client to get feedback on the concept? Do you do community management? Do you make ads out of the content? Do you do monthly analytics on the content? Is it moving images or still images? Do you write copy?)
    – what is the cost of living where you are? New York vs. Mumbai will impact.

In the end if I were to go Freelance I’d consider the amount of time needed to fulfill the client needs and apply my daily rate which is high due to experience, awards and cost of living.
