How is your PPC performance been recently?

Posted by Jones442 on May 31, 2024 at 5:31 am

    Hi everyone,

I’ve been experiencing a significant downturn in performance across all my PPC campaigns on Google and Meta over the last 1.5 weeks. I'm curious to see if others are facing similar challenges, especially in light of the current economic climate.

It seems like the dual dynamics of buying and selling which are crucial for PPC success are becoming increasingly difficult. Have you noticed any shifts in your campaign performances that might be tied to economic factors? I’m trying to gauge whether this is a wider trend or something specific to my own campaigns.

Looking forward to hearing your insights and any strategies you might be employing to navigate these challenges.

Check your auction insights. A competitor may have ramped up their bidding and knocked your visibility down. This is normal. Set aside money or ask for more to combat this.

Otherwise, are there economic changes, sporting events or terrorist incidents that might hurt consumer search demand in the last 1.5 weeks? My PPC is normal but where I am and nothing to shake consumer confidence lately.

Surprisingly good. META has been a “beefcake” of sales increase and CPA decrease.

In the UK, May has seen two bank holiday weekends, school half term and sunny weather. More people have been travelling so less time spent shopping. Search demand has dropped in many B2C eComm spaces.

Mixed in with increased bills, price rises on pretty much everything and stagnated pay means some people are watching their pennies. Many businesses are also cutting spend/costs to try maintain profits from reduced sales.

It’s just been a wierd month. Consumers/businesses still need to buy and sell stuff so hopefully it’ll pick up.
