    It depends.

Type your keywords into Google. Look at:
    – Are there **images showing on some rankings**? Either one image are multiple?
    – Is there an **image box**?
    – Are **image-focused websites** like Pinterest, flickr or WikiMedia ranking in the top 10?
    – Do the terms images or pictures appear in **related keywords**?
    – Is the **image tab** prominently displayed?

If at least **two** of these are true, images are **important**.

If **all** are true, images are **extremely important**.

    Same with videos.

With the information I know, yes it is important.

it is important to populate the image’s content and technical attributes.

    I mean by:

    * Content, populate the attributes alt and title
    * Technical, populate the attribute’s width and height

With the content, you give meaning to the image, a reason why the image or images are on the website.

With the tech attributes you shouldn’t get penalized by Search Engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.) avoiding blinks when the website is loading a page respecting the spaces among the elements.

If I am wrong about it, please let me know.

Images and videos are key for making your website engaging and visually appealing. They draw people in and help explain things better. WebGL adds another layer by bringing interactive 3D graphics into your site. Combining all these elements can really make your site stand out!

At the very least an embedded video, even if it’s not yours will get visitors to stay on your webpage longer. Google and other SEs pay attention to that. If it’s your video you get double the benefit because you get more views on your video.

Images and videos can make a big difference for both user experience and SEO, but they need to be handled carefully. For images, you should make sure they’re optimized so make sure to choose the right file formats, compress them to keep load times down, and add good alt text. If you don’t this, those images can just slow down your site, which can hurt your SEO.

Videos can be great for keeping visitors engaged and boosting time on your page, which is good for SEO. But, they need to be optimized too, or they might slow your site down.

WebGL can add cool interactive features to your site, but it can be heavy on resources, which might affect your site’s speed and performance. Plus, not all users can take full advantage of WebGL, which could create accessibility problems. So, while WebGL can be really impressive, use it wisely to avoid any negative impacts on your site’s performance and accessibility.

Images rank too and therefore I guess can be beneficial to SEO.

Images makes it easier to digest information for a lot of people.

Images also takes up a lot of space and could make your website slower and that’s bad for SEO. Compression and right filetypes are often one of the best performance enhancement a website can do.

Images and videos are very important. They catch people’s attention and make your content more interesting. Videos work well because they can explain things fast.

WebGL is good if you want 3D graphics on your website, which can make things like games or product demos more fun to use.
