How I Created a Tool to Safeguard My Photos and Videos from Deepfakes
Hey everyone,
A few months back, my mom got scammed by a deepfake using my sister's voice to trick her into sending money. It was a nightmare.
So, I decided to do something about it. I created a tool that adds an invisible layer to photos, videos, and audio files. This layer can't be seen by humans but can be detected by AI deepfake algorithms, making it impossible for them to learn from the stuff you post online.
Think of it like an invisible watermark that you can quickly add to your media before sharing it on social media or messaging apps.
I've only shared this tool with my family so far, but I'd love to hear from you. Do you think this is something you'd find useful? If there's enough interest, I might turn it into an app for everyone to use. Let me know what you think!
