  How does ad rank work with automated bidding? Since you don’t have a Max CPC bid

  The traditional calculation is ad rank = max CPC x quality score.

  But if I have a target CPA or ROAS instead, does anyone know how does this calculation changes?

  Every auction has an effective cpc.
  All the automated bid strategies do is work out what that cpc should be.
  The cpc can be different for every impression but ultimately you have an average cpc that is reported on.

  Also note *expected impact from extensions * contributes to the ad rank
