  • How do you read and memorize a script for a video?

Posted by Apart-View-4749 on August 30, 2024 at 7:48 pm

Hey, I hope you're doing good. I have a question. Lately, I've been trying to get into content creation. I wrote a script, but when it came time to record the video, I started forgetting lines and fumbling. Do you have any advice for me?

the script is not writing the lines that you should say, you can write the first word and the idea (the first word is the key to keep them watch the whole video work on it ) then the idea, what’s your content to give you exemple ?

Editing. You ever notice how YouTubers will zoom in for a sentence, then back out to full frame? That’s a cut in time, not just in distance from camera. This also makes the video more visually interesting. Do one or two lines at a time.

Same!! I think practice practice practice. We need to get out of our heads. We’re overthinking it.

Just get a teleprompter and know how to read.

    Practice, practice, practice.

Say it over and over until it’s easy.

Use the teleprompter feature in CapCut.

You can use a teleprompter app. So whilst you’re recording a video there’s a floating window with a script. CapCut has this inbuilt too now. Alternatively buy an actual teleprompter.

    you don’t
    – when writing script, write it as points
    – points are easy to remember
-you can make a speech from the point by putting them in a sentence
    – you can access the script while speaking
-you don’t have to follow the script exactly
-This works when speaking in public

We hired a model around 2000. They would record the script beforehand, then play it back in their ear during filming. Never missed a word.

Hi! I do book content on TikTok and IG. What’s a good teleprompter app?

Hi!! I love making scripts and use them any time I record any long or short content. I write the script, go sentence my sentence and read it directly or paraphrase my own writing. ! Also u can get a button to click when you wanna cut the camera.

For me, a script or business pitch always sounds better when it’s more of a conversation. Memorizing a script sounds robotic and can often come across as monotone and boring.

Instead, write out a few dotpoints and memorize those key points instead. With those key points you’ll be able to speak generally to those points but if you mess up you won’t get stuck because you are making it up as you go any way.

If you try this let me know how it goes for you 🙂

I used to use this tool that erased all the letters in each word except for the first. It was crazy easy to memorize by just knowing the first letter of the word in the correct order. I specifically used it after I felt I had memorized my script but not comfortable enough to go completely off book.
