Posted by LuckNo4086 on December 5, 2023 at 10:55 am

If I as a Google ads service provider need to track my client conversions and the only option available is to use Google Tag on his website to track them then I will need To make a Google tag manager account which needs a website, I imagine that the website needed is going to be my clients but could you guys confirm that?

Google Tag Manager (GTM) can get complex, you might not want to tackle it if you are already struggling with this part. Using a Google conversion tag to track a conversion on a site does not mean you need to use Google Tag Manager. GTM is optional.

There is no need to tackle Google Tag Manager here. The Google Conversion tag will need to be placed on the clients website and should trigger when a “conversion” takes place.

An example of a very basic setup on a lead generation website would be to add the tag to the thank you page after a user completes a form.

You should use Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager pulls more accurate data than other tools. You can collect and send data to the marketing platform as per your wish because this is a manual process. Other tools are automated processes. There is no capacity of you on there.
