Had a client meeting on Friday and was pushing the idea of Blog posts for additional pay. Trying to communicate the entire backlink, shared knoweldge, E-A-T, etc. Their eyes were glazing over.

I mentioned ChatGPT as a source to answer questions and the speed of fleshing these ideas out into long-form posts. I had to explain ChatGPT. Received the question:

“How do you know that this Chat thing gives the right information?”

    Your answer would be…..?

It doesn’t. It is just taking what has already been said on the internet and regurgitating it into a new format

But no worries right, If its on the internet it has to be true…right?

QUALITY first, quantity second, you can let Chatgpt make the content, but then you have to verify it and adjust it

Sounds like you should be explaining to the client on how the investment in blog content will lead to leads or revenue for their business, they probably don’t give a hoot if you use chatGPT or not. Speak their language not yours.

I am already coming across countless examples on how ChatGPT is getting answers wrong. One great example told people it’s best to wrap food in aluminium foil and place it in the microwave to keep the food most. People have used ChatGPT to post on several subreddits and it was beyond obvious as they offered nothing of value.

It literally doesn’t lol. Half the time it’s wrong. You need to fact check and edit the hell out of it
