  • How do you find SEO clients in non competitive cities and keywords?

When you take on/look for SEO clients, is it best to pick clients with cities and keywords where it’s relatively “easy” to rank?

Or do you just set client expectations and let them know it’s going to take longer to rank if they’re from a competitive city with competitive keywords?

it’s not about picking “easy” clients, but about being transparent and strategic… Be honest about the competition level and timeframes… Focus on the client’s goals and potential ROI… Some competitive niches offer bigger rewards… Balance your portfolio with a mix of clients and always set realistic expectations…

ultimately, deliver value regardless of the challenge….

Use local directories, social media targeting, and attend local business events. “easy” scenarios are tempting, a balanced approach with a mix of competitive and non-competitive clients is best. It is better to be transparent with clients about competition levels, provide realistic timelines, and inform then.

You can try cold emailing or outreach; it’s worked wonders for me in finding clients. I’ve been using a few tools like TryTelescope AI and LinkedIn’s Sales Navigator, along with Mailchimp for email campaigns. It’s super easy to set up, and you’d be surprised at the responses you can get. Just keep your emails personalized and engaging. Give it a shot—it’s quite helpful

You can create a site and once it starting ranking you can rent it to that industrie in your city.

I always replaced SEO in my head with = I can bring you leads and help market your business.

I find most clients don’t care *how* you do it, just that you do it. So whether its SEO, PPC or an effective website, it’s all magical internet stuff to them. The competitive area has no bearing on the purpose of our services. Whether it makes it easier or harder for us is irrelevant to the value proposition.
