  • How do you check your pages that have zero traffic?

Posted by Express_Discount7927 on September 11, 2024 at 10:18 am

I've been tasked with evaluating pages that are receiving zero traffic and identifying the reasons behind their lack of visibility. Common issues might include factors like insufficient backlinks.

I'd like to gather insights on how you assess pages for missing elements. What are some essential factors you consider when optimizing a blog for better traffic?

For pages with zero traffic, determine why its not getting visited.Factor in keyword research for relevant terms to target and make sure on-page SEO elements are optimized correctly (i.e. include an optimized title tag and meta description). Furthermore, there is internal linking to consider optimizing further and backlink analysis for link building opportunities, user experience evaluation for on-page optimization opportunities if its appropriate or not technically SEO issues audit of the site that needs fixing then content updates thats should kept up to date relevant, and competitor strategies research where one could identify gaps in your approach.

You’ll need 2 tools: Google Search Console and Ahrefs.

1 – Open GSC, choose a period of half a year and upload the list of pages to CSV

2 – Filter the URLs, leaving those that have either no clicks or very few clicks. Yay, you have a list of URLs with no traffic / almost no traffic.

3 – Select a primary key for each URL. You can do this in Google Keywords Planner by entering the URL of the page. Google will suggest you keys that it considers relevant for this URL.

4 – Make a table of **URL matches** | **Primary keyword.**

5 – Upload the list of **Primary keyword** to Ahrefs and calculate the average number of links for each **keyword** in the top 10, the average amount of content.

6 – Upload the list of URLs to Ahrefs and see how many incoming links to the target URLs.

7 – Summarize the information on the main keys with the information on your URLs

8 – Analyze in terms of URLs on what parameters you are behind the average in the top 10. Draw conclusions

To assess pages with zero traffic, I begin by reviewing their on-page SEO elements, including title tags, meta descriptions, and header tags, to ensure they are optimized with relevant keywords.

I also check if the content is valuable, engaging, and targeting the right audience, as irrelevant or low-quality content can lead to poor visibility.

Next, I analyze the page’s technical SEO, such as load speed, mobile-friendliness, and proper indexing in search engines. Backlinks are crucial too, so I examine whether the page has sufficient internal and external links pointing to it.

Lastly, I consider the page’s user experience, including readability and navigation, since poor usability can increase bounce rates, which negatively affects traffic. By identifying and improving these elements, I can better optimize the blog for increased visibility and traffic.

To check pages with zero traffic, start by ensuring they’re properly indexed in search engines. Then, review if the content targets the right keywords and offers real value to readers. Also, build backlinks to boost authority, and improve internal linking to make the page more visible. Finally, optimize the page’s loading speed and user experience to keep visitors engaged.
